Every Dog Deserves a Second Chance. In a world where animal shelters are often just stopovers on the way to euthanasia, where abandoned, neglected, abused, and troubled pets are condemned for the carelessness of humans, there is a place where dogs get a second chance at life, love, and happiness.

SECOND CHANCE AT LOVE

Our dog behavior work is what separates Second Chance from other humane societies, and our programs have helped resolve behavioral issues for hundreds of dogs on the Central Coast and throughout the country.

SANCTUARY

Sanctuary dogs will live out their lives at the Second Chance Ranch, and will be given the best of care and attention by the staff and volunteers at Second Chance at Love Humane Society.

We are desperately short of funds to cover our ongoing costs for veterinary care, food and rehoming for our rescued dogs.

We urgently need to raise funds so that we can rescue homeless and abused dogs especially those in high-kill shelters. Every dollar we can raise counts for our dogs. Check out our Fundraising page for ways you can help support us, in some cases just by doing your normal shopping, and it won't cost you anything!
