13-year old Megan is a Hurricane Katrina survivor. We rescued her along with nearly 30 other dogs and cats a few days after the hurricane. Megan was in horrible shape. She appeared to have just had a litter of puppies, and she had a severe case of heartworm disease. 

All of our Hurricane Katrina dogs were either reunited with their families or placed over the next couple of years, except Megan. We are determined to find Megan a home and a family. This sweet girl deserves to belong to someone. She is a shelter favorite.
